Abstract

The present paper deals with an optimization problem of pure electric drive trains. The dimensions of the drive train components strongly influence the energy consumption of the system. Thereby the size of the components is highly dependent on the usage scenario and the topology of the electric vehicle. Resulting from this, a method was developed which takes into account both the sizing of the components and the topology of the complete system during the energy efficiency optimization. Therefore the simulation model had been adapted such that the position of the components and their linkage might be forwarded to the optimization algorithm as changeable parameters. The method and the optimization results are presented and analysed within this paper.
