Abstract

The study presented the optimization of an entanglement witness (EW), which allows the detection of entangled states. The necessary and sufficient conditions for an EW to be optimal were given. Nondecomposable witnesses (NDEW), which are those that detect partial transposed entangled states (PPTES), were analyzed. The construction and optimization were based on the use of edge PPTES. This method can be used for systematic construction of nondecomposable positive maps (PM).
