N2 - We demonstrate that the use of the amplitude information only of diffuse photon density waves (DPDW) at multiple frequencies in Optical Tomography may be performed with the instrumentation simplicity of constant-wave (CW) imagers, yet without compromising the virtues of frequency domain or time-domain technology, namely superior absorption and scattering differentiation. The practicality of the approach allows for economical implementation of a large array of sources and detectors, which is necessary in order to increase resolution in Optical Tomography.
