Abstract

Generative manufacturing methods are gaining more and more in importance these days and advanced in great leaps during the last decade. But still the range of materials that can be used in such techniques is one of the most important limitations of these methods. Using an extruder that can provide a wide range of building materials for techniques related to Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is the basic idea of this work. In detail this work deals with a method to describe the characteristics of extruded plastics based on an optical measurement method using a high speed camera.
