Abstract

We emphasize the important roles of V_ub and of correlations between flavour observables in indirect searches for New Physics (NP) by means of FCNC processes. We illustrate with few examples how different scenarios of NP can be distinguished through the value of V_ub favoured phenomenologically by them and through correlations between different flavour observables. Precise lattice calculations of the relevant non-perturbative parameters are essential in this context.
