On the Modeling of Quantum-Limited Amplifiers for Quantum Computing and Quantum Sensing

Abstract

This paper presents an analytic modeling approach for quantum-limited parametric amplifiers with applications in quantum computing and quantum sensing. We describe a quantum model for calculating the gain and the added input fluctuations in terms of energy quanta (photons) of traveling-wave parametric amplifiers, including losses and dispersion.
