Abstract

The problem of admissibility for symbol asynchronous code division multiple access (CDMA) channels was discussed. A symbol asynchronous CDMA channel equipped with a bank of matched filters was considered. The modeling of lack of synchronism was done by the users' relative time offsets that were assumed to be independent random variables uniformly distributed on the symbol interval. The focus was given to polyphase sequences and chip-synchronism was assumed in the analysis.
