Abstract
Comparison of linear and non-linear precoding schemes was carried out. Linear precoding is not an option of choice for application except in very well conditioned transmission channels or with a high surpulus of transmit antennas. It was observed that suboptimal schemes like standard ranked known interference (RKI) and Tomlinson-Harashima-precoding (THP) can achieve a considerable transmit power reduction compared to linear channel inversion (LCI).
