Abstract
A few downlink beamforming algorithms based on look-direction are presented. The joint optimization of the individual portions of transmit energy dedicated for each user turns out to be the most important subject in look-direction beamforming. We propose a new criterion for evaluating downlink techniques in wireless communications systems. The assessment of the presented beamforming algorithms is based on simulation results of an artificial scenario.
