Abstract

A general method for the introduction of a C₅H₄ bridge is the reaction of diazocyclopentadiene with MM multiple bonds in dinuclear complexes. Cp₂(μ‐NO)₂Fe₂ (with FeFe bonding) forms 1, Cp₂(CO)₄Mo₂ (with MoMo bonding) reacts, with additional complexing of the ring system, to give 2. (Figure Presented.)
