Abstract

A general method for the introduction of a C5H4 bridge is the reaction of diazocyclopentadiene with MM multiple bonds in dinuclear complexes. Cp2(μ‐NO)2Fe2 (with FeFe bonding) forms 1, Cp2(CO)4Mo2 (with MoMo bonding) reacts, with additional complexing of the ring system, to give 2. (Figure Presented.)
