Abstract
Virtual and augmented reality represent innovative forms of man-machine communication that open up new areas of potential for production companies. This article describes the universal benefit-oriented integration of virtual and augmented reality in assembly. In addition to approaches for software and data engineering integration, a course of action for the use of AR and VR is described.
