Abstract

The nucleus 163Dy was studied with (n, γ), (n, n'γ) and (n, e-) reactions at Grenoble, Riga and Brookhaven and with (d, p) and (d, t) measurements in Munich. An extensive level scheme was constructed up to 2 MeV including 277 gamma transitions and 14 rotational band assignments. The neutron binding energy was determined to be 6271.04 (9) keV.
