Abstract
We discuss nuclear effects in coordinate-space quark and gluon distributions. These distributions are related to momentum-space distributions by Fourier transformations. The largest effect is a strong depletion of parton distributions at large distances (shadowing), starting at distances which correspond to the average nucleon-nucleon separation. The nuclear radius does not play a significant role.
