Abstract

The nuclear capture of antiprotons from atomic states is studied. New measurements of level shifts and widths of deuterium are analysed and compared with similar results obtained in heavy nuclei. Some properties of antiproton nucleus interactions are outlined, a comparison of cold and total capture modes is done.
