Abstract

The antimicrobial effective substance nourseothricin, produced in cultures of Streptomyces noursei ZIMET 43716, is presented as a new water soluble agent for the control of fire blight. Practical trials with aqueous nourseothricin sprays are reported. Information about the favourable pharmacological, toxicological, and environmental properties of this agent is presented.
