Abstract
The present paper examines the requirements to apply center-structures in a hospital as well as how they have to be organized. For that purpose the specific claims of the primary, secondary and non-medical departments are analyzed. Based on these results recommendations for all three types of departments are derived. Afterwards different aspects concerning the control of the particular peripheral centers in a hospital are described and suggestions for their target-oriented handling in the hospital practice are given.
