New soft-switched power converter topologies for variable reluctance machine drives

Abstract

This paper introduces two new soft-switched converters for operation with the DC link controlled configuration. Different possibilities of control are analyzed, including the capability of regenerative operation. Simulated results confirm the feasibility of the proposed soft-switched SRM.
