Abstract
This paper proposes a method to determine all the parameters of induction machines. This method does not require the use of any mechanical devices or speed measurement and it is conceived to be used for auto-commissioning purposes. The stator leakage inductance and the stator resistance are obtained from the homopolar machine model. The stator transient inductance, the stator inductance and the rotor time constant are obtained from the dynamic dq model. From those parameters the other machine parameters are determined. Experimental results are presented and demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.
