Abstract

New Aluminium-based Powder Materials for Additive Manufacturing. The increasing use of metallic additive manufacturing processes in a wide range of industries leads to a growing demand for novel high-performance materials. The research project GasAlloy-X is dedicated to the development of high-strength, lightweight aluminium-based powder materials for laser-based powder bed fusion (LPBF). The project aims at achieving the required mechanical properties and establish a process chain for reliable and reproducible processing of the new powder materials.
