Abstract
New techniques of breast reduction with minimal scarring have been developed to improve the esthetic outcome after breast reduction surgery. The most commonly used Lejour technique shows the additional benefit of improved reliability compared to standard breast reduction operations. Nevertheless, in our experience, the indication for this technique should be limited to a reduction of up to 800-1000 grams per breast in order to obtain good results and avoid secondary operations.
