Abstract
This paper presents a flexible multimodal telepresence system with bilateral kinesthetic coupling, interactive stereo vision and audio as well as a predictive display. In two differently scaled industrial szenarios it is shown, that a unified human-system interface can produce an immersive telepresence sensation which enables also untrained users to fulfill peg-in-hole tasks over the Internet.
