Abstract

Multifunctional forestry between inclusion and extinction (essay) Within forestry, there is a battle between integrative and segregative concepts especially regarding nature conservation. However, the terms of integration and segregation are not sufficient to describe the management of the multifold interests in forests. The history of forestry is for example shaped by the exclusion and extinction of agricultural interests. Power-related questions on the discourse level have to be considered in addition to expert questions, such as how different interests could be integrated within a certain area.
