Abstract

This work focuses on the Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Broadcast Channel (BC) assuming imperfect Channel State Information (CSI) is assumed at the transmitter side. For such a scenario, we propose to balance the average Mean Square Error (MSE) for all the users under generalized power constraints using an Alternating Optimization (AO) approach. For given receive filters, we find the precoders in the BC via a dual formulation in the Multiple Access Channel (MAC). Strong duality holds between the primal and the dual problem. We solve the latter by means of a projected gradient algorithm. After convergence, the solution for the original MSE balancing formulation is obtained.
