Abstract
In our today's world global producing companies are influenced by a lot of uncertain parameters which are affecting the profitability of investments. Against the background of this so called turbulence, a monetary evaluation of different investment alternatives for production systems gets more and more important. Existing evaluation methods like the Net Present Value (NPV) calculation are only considering quantitative parameters which have a direct impact to monetary values. Parameters which cannot directly be converted into monetary values, e.g. the motivation of employees, are insufficient considered in the evaluation, yet. This paper presents an approach how qualitative parameters can be interpreted as uncertainty and integrated in the monetary evaluation of production systems.
