Abstract

The role of molecular self-assembly and nanomanipulation technologies in nanoscience and templating, are discussed. A whole series of molecules which self-assemble to form two dimensional crystals on surface was also investigated. It is stated that self-assembly of DNA molecules is one of the most important themes for research because it leads to an explanation for the origin of life. It is observed that if DNA and RNA bases are allowed to self-organize on a surface then hydrogen bonds forms between the molecules and hold the structure stable.
