Abstract
We calculate the twist given to the π-electrons of a benzene-like ring molecule when a magnetic monopole passes through the ring. As a result, we obtain an almost geometrical cross section for transferring the angular momentum h{combining short stroke overlay} to each π-electron. The possibility of using organic ring molecules as a monopole detector is discussed.
