Abstract

The gaps between the polysterene insulation slabs were shown to encourage mold growth. The period of poor performance significantly depends on the facade material. Mineral wool slabs in the lintels only lead to critical conditions during the first year. It was noted that the influence of long wave radiation, which can also lead to cooling of ETICS (EIFS) surfaces below ambient air temperature at night and to microbial growth, was not considered in the calculation.
