Abstract
Revision surgery following unsuccessful acromioclavicular joint stabilization and chronic joint luxation presents a great challenge in orthopedics. In this article a minimally invasive procedure for reconstruction of the acromioclavicular joint and the coracoclavicular ligaments will be presented. This is carried out using a TightRope™ (Arthrex, Naples, FL) and a modified Fibertape™ pulley system and additional inclusion of a gracilis tendon. Using the modified Fibertape™ pulley system small bore channels in the coracoid process are sufficient which reduces the risk of fracture. Additionally the gracilis tendon can be transosseously included as a biological basis of ligamentization of the coracoclavicular ligaments and tied in a figure of eight around the coracoid process and the clavicula.
