Abstract

Summarizing all of a 12V AGM lead acid battery's dependencies on temperature, state of charge, discharging current and state of health in an electric circuit model may be challenging. This paper presents a method for analyzing new lead acid batteries and transferring them into a model. It shows the way of modeling as well as the final model and its verification. Furthermore, the method compares the model to 249 reclaimed batteries and shows an approach to identify, separate and simulate the different aging mechanisms.
