Abstract

The experimental data from the FLECHT-SEASET Separate Effect Tests have been used to assess the ability of WCOBRA-TRAC code to simulate the heat transfer processes observed in the steam generator after reflooding. Some problems were identified with the interfacial heat transfer and quench front modeling. A new approach to handle those phenomena is suggested which yields better results than the original code logic.
