Abstract
A mathematical model has been derived for a pulsed sieve-plate extractor operating in the dispersion region. It has been used for computer simulation of dynamic behavior of the extractor for changes in different input variables such as concentration and volumetric flow rate. The results were used for a model reduction in order to replace the complicated system of differential equations by a single transfer function of a lower order. This resulted in a simplified analysis of the dynamic behavior of extraction equipment.
