Abstract

The investigation of model systems for heterogeneous catalysts catching some of the complexity of real catalyst systems may add substantially to an attempt to rationally design catalysts and catalytic materials to effectively harvest and store energy. Five case studies discuss an approach to model disperse metal catalysts and its use in thermal and photo chemical processes.
