Abstract

Medium corrections (Pauli and binding effects together with true absorption and reflection contributions) are incorporated into the isobar-hole description of pion-nuclear scattering. The model uses microscopic effective lagrangians consistent with calculations of the πd → pp reaction. The effects of the various medium corrections (including dispersive real parts) are discussed for π⁴ He scattering.
