Abstract
The Digital Factory offers potential to improve the product creation and the production. For several years, big enterprises belong to the main users of techniques of the Digital Factory. Hence, service enterprises in the field of the Digital Factory focus on small and medium sized enterprises (SME). Their specific constraints are always the cause, that SME have to observe and to prove the evolution and the application of techniques first in order to find out the right scaling, that means the right choice of techniques. That obtains as well to techniques of the Digital Factory. Because of the fact, that planning and realisation of the Digital Factory is not a nonrecurring but a permanent running project, experienced users of techniques of the Digital Factory need to verify their installed scaling continuously. Hence, this article describes how a specific scaling of the Digital Factory could be worked out by using a repeatable methodology.
