Abstract

Demographic change will set the human being in the focus of factory and production planning. Future development will require the in - creased adaption of production systems to human skills and abilities. This article presents several approaches to plan und develop assembly systems regarding age-appropriate assignment of workers in direct areas as well as value added and knowledge-based design of processes in indirect areas.
