Abstract
Alkinylrhenium(VII) oxides are synthesized from Re2O7 and alkinyltris(n-butyl)tin. They are moisture- and temperature-sensitive compounds. The organic ligand adopts η1-coordination. Alkinylrhenium(VII) oxides can be stabilized by Lewis bases such as 2,2′-bipyridine. The resulting adducts are stable at room temperature. The decomposition of the title compounds depends on the concentration.
