Abstract

TiO2 a bioactive material, as it has been demonstrated in several studies. Tape casting is a well established method of high-quality ceramic sheet production. Little work has been done in the field of combining this method and TiO2 for biomédical applications. This paper shows a water-based manufacturing method for thin ceramic scaffolds with an adjustable micro- and macro surface structure (pore diameters 0.37 - 0.96 μm and 50-150 μm), which is needed for cell attachments.
