Abstract

These instructions guide tuners to manually adjust coupled cavity microwave filters which are completely untuned. No computer-based measurement data processing is required during tuning. The method could also be used to serve computer based tuning algorithms that require pre-tuned filters. The tuning procedure is exemplified by tuning a cross-coupled 6-pole filter. It is not restricted in the application to similar filters with more or less poles and cross-couplings.
