Abstract

The implementation of earth-abundant metal catalysts in hydrogen fuel cells is necessary in developing sustainable energy schemes. Recently in Chem Catalysis, Chenevier and co-workers investigate the effect of ionomers on the assembly of catalytic layers based on molecular catalysts. They highlight the importance of understanding the layer structuration at the molecular scale to maximize catalytic efficiency at the device-scale.
