Abstract
A new testing device consisting of a coaxial plasma accelerator and a compressor coil is described. This device generates a fast and dense plasma for the acceleration of glass beads for micrometeoroid simulation. Theoretical and experimental investigations of the glass bead acceleration and the plasma flow are described.
