Abstract

The magnetic moment μ_e and the mean life τ of the 66.7 keV state of ¹⁷¹Yb, the E2/M1 mixing ratio δ² and the relative E2-M1 phase cos φ{symbol} of the γ rays are determined. The magnetic parameters g_K, b_o and g_R are deduced and compared with theory.
