N2 - This work discusses the optimization and the characterization of an efficient inductive power transfer device in the kilowatt range based on the state of the art knowledge for such systems. A device is designed using tools such as finite element method (FEM) software and analytical design rules. Finally, experimental results demonstrate the achieved performance.
