Abstract
A unique case of reactive gastric amyloid in association with gastric ulcer is reported. Macroscopically a gastric carcinoma was suspected by endoscopy. The diagnosis was posed by histological examination of the gastric biopsies. This cases demonstrates that in the increasing number of endoscopic examinations of the upper gastrointestinal tract, amyloidosis also has to be included in the differential diagnosis.
