Abstract

Level bleaching in the ground state of a single In0.5Ga0.5As quantum dots was investigated. Photocurrent spectroscopy was used and results were explained by a rate equation model for the quantum dot. Results showed that the photocurrent responses of the dot's ground state shows a characteristic peak which is due to resonant quantum dot absorption. With increase in excitation power the peak rises until it becomes saturated.
