Abstract
Modern information and communication technologies allow new forms of qualification which no longer depend on time and place. These forms are subsumed under the term Web Based Training (WBT). In lots of cases, the development of WBT is reduced to a 1:1-conversion of the learning material enriched by media-elements (animation, audio, etc.). In this article, a didactically substantiated product model for WBT is presented for the engineering sciences. It was realised as a prototype, which can efficiently be extended to a WBT by the integration of subject-specific learning material.
