In the fields of intralogistics, the initial costs of acquisition is often the main investment decision criterion. A consideration of the life-cycle costs is neglected, although the actual operating costs may be decisive for an economical plant operation. To assess the cost-effectiveness of intralogistics systems prior to acquisition, this article presents a specific life-cycle cost model.
