Abstract
This contribution describes two stands of Port-Orford-Cedar (age 86 and 89 years) located at the Forest Experimental Area Grafrath. Yield and growth characteristics as well as quality properties are reported. For a reasonably well growing 89 years old stand a growing stock of 555 m3 was measured. A change in growing stock of 8.6 m3 per year and hectare was calculated. Based on a classification of branchiness an overall percentage of 70 % trees with tiny branches (in relation to growing stock) was found.
