Abstract
As a mission for the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Protection, and Reactor Safety (BMU), the German Center for Air and Space Travel (DLR) has studied the pathways to develop the expansion of renewable energies. The study uses long-term scenarios and assesses the associated long-term economic effects. Discussion topics include introduction; characteristics of the future energy supply (electric power; heat requirements and generation; transportation and traffic]; costs and uses of expanded outputs of renewable energies; coupling of the energy infrastructures; and summary. Photograph, graph, and references.
