Abstract
In the Faculty of Agriculture, Technical University of Munich, the significance of landscape ecology and the nature of research (on conservation of nature, studies in land use) are described. Landscape ecology done in the field and not with a computer tends to be undervalued, and moreover this has to do with the qualitative and is not measurable. -D.J.Davis
