Abstract

Over the last few years a series of measures have proved their worth in the reduction of noise and vibration emanating from railway tunnel structures. Among the most effective are mass spring systems. The article describes practical applications with and without ballast roadbed, using prefabricated parts or concrete slabs cast in situ.
